Five years ago, we opened up our storefront on the corner of Pemberton and 3rd Street in North Vancouver. The concept that we were building for over 4 years finally became reality.
Thanks to the support of our families, friends, team members, community members and our amazing customers, we were able to turn 5 this September.
Milestones:
September 2016 - opened our storefront in North Vancouver BC | |
September 2018 - opened up our second store in East Vancouver BC, partially due to the fact that we quickly outgrew our 900 sq ft space in North Vancouver | |
March 2019 - 3rd place under the category Best North Shore Restaurant for the 22nd Annual Golden Plates | |
December 2019 - mentioned as one of the 5 Vancouver restaurants for the aspiring plant-based foodie by Georgia Straight | |
March 2020 - affected by COVID restrictions like every other food establishments across the country, we managed to keep our doors open in some capacity, as we felt that more than ever, people needed access to wholesome, nutritious foods | |
October 2020 - built out a production facility right next door to our North Vancouver store, and also decided to close our East Vancouver store to focus more on creating packaged, frozen Japanese inspired vegan meals | |
November 2020 - our packaged Vegan Spicy Tan Tan Broth became one of the top 5 selling items in Stongs Markets in North Vancouver | |
March 2021 - made it on the Canada's Top 100 Places to Eat in 2021 list | |
August 2021 - gradually built up our wholesale operation and are currently in 40+ locations across the Lower Mainland and beyond | |
September 2016 - Present: Extremely fortunate to have amazing team members that made an impact and helped define what the Workshop is today | |
September 2021 - turned 5 years old :) |
