Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp of oil
- 350g cooked rice
- 1 packet of Garlic Shio broth
- Shelled edamame
- Corn kernels
- Green onions
- Finely cut nori seaweed (optional for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
- Start by heating 2 tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Make sure the oil is hot but not smoking.
- Add your cooked rice to the pan. Spread it out evenly and let it sizzle. Fry the rice for about 3 - 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it's starting to get a little crispy.
- Drizzle in the packet of Garlic Shio broth. This magical ingredient will infuse your rice with that irresistible garlic flavour. Stir well to ensure every grain of rice gets a taste.
- Toss in edamame, corn, and green onions. These veggies not only add a pop of colour but also a delightful crunch and sweetness to your fried rice. Stir-fry everything together for another 3 - 4 minutes, until the veggies are heated through.
- Plate your garlic fried rice and sprinkle with some finely cut nori seaweed. Serve hot and enjoy!
Tips & Tricks
- Day-old rice works best for fried rice because it's drier and prevents the dish from becoming mushy.
- Feel free to add other veggies you have on hand.
- Protein boost: Add some of your favourite protein of choice to make it a more substantial meal.
